OUR STORY

Manaji Projects is part of the RBY Group of companies which consists of the following two divisions:

  • Manaji Projects (Labour Hire and Cultural Heritage); and

  • RBY Projects (Civil Construction).

Manaji Projects was created to compliment the RBY Group of Companies in 2018. Manaji was established to provide Cultural Heritage services to companies operating in the resource and construction sector that required an all inclusive system to meet the expectations of our clients.

Our aim is to work closely with Traditional Owner groups while providing important training and long-term sustainable opportunities for people working in the Cultural Heritage space.

We identified that this type of work was traditionally ad-hoc part time work with little or limited solutions for skill development and employability across other sectors.

From this initiative our labour hire and recruitment division grew to provide Indigenous employees ongoing pathways into all aspects of employment in all sectors.

RBY Projects are one of the largest Aboriginal owned and managed companies operating in the resource industry. Focusing on the Coal Seam Gas (CSG) sector, RBY Projects complete large-scale civil construction and maintenance work for key gas companies in the Surat and Bowen Basin. The RBY Group and Managing Director, Derek Flucker, has been recognised for outstanding contribution to industry and Indigenous engagement in the resource sector as follows:

  • RBY Projects | Winner, Exceptional Indigenous Business Award at the 2016 Queensland Resource Council Indigenous Awards;

  • RBY Projects | Winner, Indigenous Business of the Year Award at the 2015 Ethnic Business Awards as televised on ABC and SBS;

  • RBY Workstars | Runner-up, Certified Supplier of the Year Award at Supply Nation’s Connect 2018 Awards;

  • Derek Flucker | Named in the Top 20 Australian Gas Leaders of 2015 by Gas Today;

  • Derek Flucker | Appointed as Chairperson of Aboriginal Enterprises in Mining, Energy and Exploration (AEMEE) in 2011;

  • Derek Flucker | Managing Director of Northern Project Contracting when it won the Queensland and Australian Telstra Business Award in 2010.
