Derek brings 27 years of experience in community development and leading contracting companies in the resources and energy sectors. He is also Managing Director of RBY Projects and Chairperson of AEMEE, the peak body supporting and connecting Indigenous businesses across the resource sectors. Derek is passionate about creating meaningful employment, training and opportunities for First Nations people, with a strong focus on building capability and delivering long-term benefits for families and communities.

Lisa Conlon
Cultural ties to the Northern Territory
Lisa has been with Manaji since June 2018 and brings more than 20 years of leadership and management experience across business development, retail, Indigenous engagement and the oil and gas industry. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with Traditional Owner groups to support meaningful outcomes and build strong partnerships. Lisa is passionate about empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to succeed and is committed to creating opportunities that deliver lasting benefits for communities.

Nathan joined Manaji in June 2026 after building a career in the oil and gas industry since 2013. He combines extensive operational experience with a strong passion for culture and enjoys supporting respectful engagement with Traditional Owner groups in the field. Outside of work, Nathan is a keen rugby league supporter, enjoys fishing and loves watching his children develop their own sporting talents.

Jodie has been part of the Manaji team for over three years. Before joining Manaji, she spent 15 years working in Indigenous Health Administration, supporting programs focused on improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Today, she works closely with Traditional Owner groups and provides vital support to Manaji's cultural heritage operations. Jodie is passionate about protecting and preserving cultural heritage through respectful collaboration and meaningful relationships.

Clinton has been with Manaji for over six years and brings extensive experience in cultural heritage management. Prior to joining the team, he worked as a Cultural Heritage Officer for the BCJWY Traditional Owner group on QGC projects from 2012 to 2023. His practical knowledge of cultural heritage field operations, combined with his strong connection to Country, makes him a valued member of the Manaji team.

Josie joined Manaji in 2025 and brings experience across the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, housing and mental health sectors, as well as cultural heritage management. She is passionate about preserving cultural heritage while helping to raise awareness of its importance and significance. Josephine enjoys connecting with people through cultural events and community gatherings and is committed to ensuring the stories and history of Country are protected for future generations.
